Sunday Walks at Dumfries House Estate
Join our popular Dumfries House Estate Sunday morning. Enjoy a historic exploration of the estate and get the latest on our current development while walking in the fresh air. All welcome… including dogs! .
The walk will take you from the historic Stable and Coach House, via the Laundry Building/Artist Studios across the Adam Bridge. From here you will follow the Lime Walk to the site of the Walled Garden and back across the river to the western most boundary of the original estate. The Beech Avenue will join the Estate Road from the west gates and take you to the Dovecot – the oldest surviving building on the estate. A brief stop at the sawmill will continue to the Coach House Cafe where the walk will conclude.
The walk is designed to dip into the history of the Dumfries House Estate and learn about the latest developments while enjoying a gently paced walk from site to site.

Weather: the walk will go ahead in all weathers; please bring sensible footwear and a warm coat/jacket, a hat, gloves etc.
